Pastor’s Prayer Partners Petitions
A Prayer for the Re-Opening of Church
The time for which we have been waiting has finally come. We can return to worship in our sanctuaries!
While this is a blessing, it comes with challenges. One of the greatest challenges I have encountered is “how” to re-open worship. I have received many thoughts and opinions from members and non-members. Some would like to open the doors with no regulations. Some want masks required. Some want us to wait and not open the sanctuary until we can be sure the coronavirus is completely eliminated.
I am blessed to have a pastoral staff that has joined me in determining how to best open the sanctuary in a manner that is not only safe, but takes into consideration the concerns of others. We will re-open the weekend of May 30 & 31, with certain precautions to make people feel comfortable enough to worship.
I am asking you to use this prayer as we plan to reopen the Lord’s house:
Heavenly Father, please guide our pastors and elders as they plan to re-open Your house of worship. I am so glad I can again worship in Your house alongside my brothers and sisters in the faith. Lord, give our members patience in this unusual time. Help all of us to think of others, even though we may have differing opinions. Let us find our joy in being in Your house. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
    Thanks for your partnership,

          Pastor Raasch

  PRAYING FOR YOURSELF
Reflect on what is on your heart and mind and take it to God in prayer.

Is there something we can pray about for you?
Praying for One Another
  • All who battle cancer, including Dick Rupert, Ron Grob, Wayne Kokta, Gary Bergin, Kathy Schmidt, Jim Melichar and Pastor Joel Brandt.   Pray that the Lord would bless their treatments, relieve their pain and strengthen them and their families in faith.
  • Betty Twietmeyer, Tom Zahn, Dick Larson, Jim Ruppel, Alex Neumann, Jean Button, Lois Bublitz, Dee Lewis, Michael Herman, Sonia Buhrow and Katie Kubiac  as they contend with ongoing health issues. Pray for their medical teams, that God would bless them and use them as His instruments of healing.
  • Tom Giordano and Scott Rank as they recover from successful surgery. Give thanks for health and pray for continued healing.
  • Genevieve Anschuetz, who receives hospice care. Pray for strength of faith and peace.

PRAYING FOR FIL MINISTRIES & OTHERS

Our Mission of the Month is “Compassion.”
Our congregation’s goal is that 30 families of our congregation would step up to each sponsor and child. It is also our intent to support “Compassion’s” Disaster Relief Fund and their “Unsponsored Child Fund.” Your prayers are always desired, needed and appreciated.
