Weekly Update
John Thornburg
Dear Parents,

I am always inspired by the courage and innovation of our Malden Catholic students. Recently, I received a video by one of our 10 graders, Om Gohel. He wanted to help protect seniors in our community and designed a face shield using used simple products such as a plastic paper protector and a headband to create over 100 full shields. I have attached a short video that illustrates his fantastic invention and how he shared it with others. This truly captures the spirit of MC.

In my reflection this week, I tell the story of how my son took an incredible risk and ran past me to experience one of the most frightening, yet rewarding experiences of his life. This story, along with Om's innovation illustrate how we must all muster the courage to face the unknown with curiosity, creativity and drive. With this in mind, we can all experience the blessings and simple gifts that have been bestowed upon us every day, especially in times of uncertainty.

Thank you for your prayers and support.

John K. Thornburg
