Devotional Thought by Mr. Bauer - James 1:17
Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the lights, who does not change or shift like a shadow. (James 1:17)

There’s a lot to be said about having an “attitude of gratitude.” A recurring message in things I read is that from a psychological perspective, frequently focusing on the blessings for which one can be thankful helps one have a positive attitude, mindset and outlook on life. The Bible also shares a strong message on the importance of being thankful in all circumstances, recognizing that we are children of our Heavenly Father who promises to bless us and take care of us for our eternal benefit. And one of these blessings for which we can be thankful is in the above verse - God doesn’t change or shift like a shadow. God’s love for us, the perfect love that drives God to bless us, never fails. Give thanks for that!

Each Monday a new “Marriage Moments” video is published. These short, two to three-minute videos share Biblical insights into God-pleasing marriages. While not every family has two married parents (this is not a judgment on those that don’t), married parents have the opportunity to model healthy, God-pleasing marriage for their children. You can get a taste of past “Marriage Moments” videos and subscribe HERE.
