Weekly Update #34
May 20, 2022
Devotional Thought by Pastor Maertz -
This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God… No, there is no other Rock; I know not one. (Isaiah 44:6,8)

Would you rather have a rock for a god or a God who is your Rock? For children of God there are ongoing temptations to let the rocks of this world (money, possessions, position, power) take the place of prominence in our lives. (What is it that tries to displace God in your life?)

Ultimately, the rocks of this world fail us. The Lord Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, however, does not. He either has or will keep every one of his promises, from the first to the last. (Think of some of the promises God has extended to you in his Word.) Your King and Redeemer keeps his word. The One who sent his Son to be your Savior will be with you always, to the very end of the age. Trust him!

Thank you to everyone who submitted designs!
