Weekly Update #16
January 7, 2022
Devotional Thought by Jeff Roloff - James 1:17
Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the father of the lights, who does not change or shift like a shadow. (James 1:17)
We just celebrated Christmas when many of us got gifts. Some of the gifts we received were special not because of what they were but because of who they came from and why they were given. Those gifts that come from someone who loves us, always has loved us, and always will love us are often the most special and cherished gifts we receive. God our Heavenly Father gives us many gifts out of love but the greatest gift he gave us was his Son our Savior. God’s love has always been there, is here right now, and will always be there. We are privileged and blessed to get to display that love in our lives, our worship and our giving. We get to, not have to, give to others, be good stewards of the gifts he has given us, and to use our gifts to spread his love. God loves us and that will not change, now we get to use the many blessings he has given us to His glory.
Mr. Bauer’s Call Decision
Prior to Christmas break Mr. Bauer received a divine call to serve as the Athletic Director at Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee, WI. After prayerful consideration of many circumstances related to continuing to serve at GPL or beginning to serve there, Mr. Bauer has decided to return this call and remain at GPL. Mr. Bauer considers it a blessing for his family and him to continue living their Panther pride with the GPL family.

Marriage Moments
Each Monday a new “Marriage Moments” video is published. These short, two to three-minute videos share Biblical insights into God-pleasing marriages. While not every family has two married parents (this is not a judgment on those that don’t), married parents have the opportunity to model healthy, God-pleasing marriage for their children.
