It’s a busy week at Lobo! We have Back-to-School Nights, Regular Early Out Thursday and Extra Early Out day on Friday. Be sure to check the details below and update your calendars!
Back-to-School Night — Three Nights!
Back-to-School Night will take place over three evenings to help accommodate our families and make parking a little easier. Your child’s grade/class determines which night and time you should attend, so please take a close look at the schedules below.
Back-to-School Night is a chance for parents and guardians to meet your child’s teacher, see their classroom, and learn about what to expect this year. Teachers will present important information about the classroom, routines, curriculum, and more.
Please note: Back-to-School Night is for parents/guardians — students do not attend. Students will have their chance later in the year at Open House, when they can show you all the amazing things they’ve been learning and creating!

We’re excited to introduce the new Lobo PTA website, your one-stop place for staying connected, getting involved, and finding everything you need throughout the school year. From upcoming events and volunteer opportunities to PTA programs, membership, school resources, and ways to support our Dolphins, we’re bringing it all together in one easy-to-use place.

Come kick off the school year with a sweet night of ice cream, family fun, and community!
Bring the whole family and let the kids play while parents get a chance to connect, meet other Lobo families, and hang out. It’s a relaxed way to get to know the people who make our school community so special.
While you’re there, stop by the PTA table to learn more about how you can get involved and hear about the amazing events, programs, and activities we’re planning for students, staff, and families this year.
Everyone loves free ice cream!
No need to be a PTA member to join the fun — everyone is welcome!

Stay Connected with TalkingPoints
Lobo families, TalkingPoints is one of the tools our school uses to keep families connected! Teachers can use TalkingPoints for direct, two-way communication with families, while our Lobo Office Manager can also send important school-wide reminders and updates by text. TalkingPoints supports communication in 150+ languages, making it easier for every family to stay informed.
TalkingPoints also has a free family app that makes it easy to keep all your school messages in one place, especially if you have more than one child. You can also receive TalkingPoints messages by text without downloading the app.
One important note: Classroom teachers choose how they communicate with their families and may use other platforms, such as ClassDojo. Be sure to check with your child's teacher to find out which communication tools they will be using this year.

This week, our PTA Board came together to build out our calendar of events and programs for the year and we’re excited about what we’ve planned! We’ve combined the best of both schools’ traditions and events to create an amazing year for our students, staff, and families. We also worked together to create a combined PTA budget to support all of the fun and meaningful things we want to bring to Lobo this year.
Want to be part of making this year awesome? Join us for our first PTA meeting on Thursday, September 17 at 8:15 AM in the Multipurpose Room!
And remember, PTA is about so much more than meetings. It’s about creating experiences, building community, supporting our teachers and staff, and finding ways, big or small, to make school even more special for our kids.

Capture Your Family + Support Lobo PTA!
It’s time to update those family photos and you can help support Lobo Elementary PTA while you’re at it!
There are several locations and dates available through Fund Photos, but we’ve secured a special Lobo date on Sunday, October 18 at the San Clemente Pier! It’s the perfect chance to get beautiful beach photos while giving back to our school.
For every session booked, Fund Photos donates 100% of the session fee, $50, directly to Lobo PTA!
Each session includes:
- 15 minutes of photography for your immediate family or up to 6 people
- 2 high-res digital images to download
- Gallery of 30-40 edited, color-corrected, cropped, and straightened images to choose from
