Congress Passes More Small Business Relief
This week, Congress came together to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program, which has provided nearly 70,000 loans to help small businesses in Illinois keep their employees on the payroll. But some small businesses are still waiting because the program ran out of money within days of it being implemented. On Thursday, I voted in support of small businesses like Myler Automotive in Champaign. Read their story below.

Additionally, the bill provided more funding for testing and health care providers.

88 Million Economic Impact Payments Delivered
Last week, the IRS and Treasury Department announced that 88.1 million individuals received Economic Impact Payments within the program's first three weeks. More payments are continuing to be delivered each week.

Walgreens Expanding Testing in Springfield
On Monday, I visited the new Walgreens COVID-19 drive-thru testing facility in Springfield with Rep. Darin LaHood, State Representative Tim Butler, and State Representative Mike Murphy. They just opened up recently as part of their goal of increasing testing access in communities they serve.
