BOMA OC Honors Rex Hime at Sip, Support, & Socialize

CBPA sponsored last night's Sip, Support, & Socialize fundraiser at The Met in Costa Mesa hosted by BOMA Orange County. The event honored the legacy of CBPA Founding CEO and President Emeritus Rex Hime, with Hawaiian attire encouraged to reflect his signature look. CBPA President and CEO Matthew Hargrove spoke to the legacy of Rex's work in Sacramento to the crowd of over 200 commercial real estate professionals, partners, and elected officials. Attack on Proposition 13 Heads to the November '24 Ballot

Assembly Constitutional Amendment (ACA) 13 passed the legislature last week, and will now put a question on the ballot at the same time as the Taxpayer Protection Act that will allow voters to decide if they want to permanently make it easier for their taxes to be raised or restore Proposition 13.

Legislation Spotlight: Assembly Bill 883

While the commercial real estate industry suffered a loss with the passage of ACA 13, there were a series of successes for our industry this legislative session.


Assembly Bill 883 (Mathis; R-Visalia) will require state agencies to expedite veteran applications, and ensure that every veteran is provided with the support, information, and tools necessary to succeed. CBPA advocated for support on AB 883, and it now heads to the governor's desk for a signature.
