Way to go Mark Acosta!
"I sing the praises of Mark Acosta, who has been helping my son navigate the SSI system with his redetermination process for his MA coverage, which affects his REM status. There was a glitch in the system, and my son was potentially going to be cut off from services if things were not figured out which all became a complicated endeavor and miscommunication between the SSA and Social Services. Mark worked with my husband and took the time to get involved and try to solve the problems related to my son being mis-coded. I don't completely understand the whole process, but I do know that Mark's positive attitude, willingness to help, and making himself available to us in such a kind and helpful manner eased our growing frustrations and helped solve the problem that involved many phone calls and conversations with uninformed people in the SSA. He was also very helpful when we were trying to change nursing agencies and had a difficult time with our private insurance coverage before MA kicked in. Mark is truly a gifted individual in your organization, which is rare these days. I wanted to take the time out to tell his supervisor how wonderful we think he is."
Submitted with permission from clients mother.

The Family Resource Fund has reached its budgeted capacity for this fiscal year. Effective immediately, we are not accepting any new Quality of Life requests through September 30, 2025.
We understand the importance of these requests to the individuals and families we serve, and we appreciate your continued efforts to support them.
During this period, we will continue to accept Critical Need requests only, including urgent housing-related needs. To qualify, the request must reflect an essential need—something critical to their well-being and safety. Please use discretion and ensure that any submission is truly critical before proceeding.
Thank you for your understanding and your continued commitment to our clients and the Family Resource Fund.
If you have any questions about what qualifies as a critical need, feel free to reach out to the FRF Committee.
