Dear Cornerstone Family,

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for you, our church family. Together we have faced many challenges over the past year and are learning how to lean on God and trust him in every circumstance. Thank you for the ways you have shown the love of Jesus to one another, to the community at large, and to the leadership and staff.

Thank you in particular for continuing to lift up Ashleigh MacGillivray, Sheldon and Alissa's oldest daughter, in prayer. As Ashleigh undergoes treatment for pulmonary hypertension, we are grateful for your concern and prayer support. Please know that we are praying for you as well. We encourage you to use our online prayer form to share specific requests, either confidentially or with our prayer chain.

We've included a link to this week's devotional, "Grumbling or Gratitude?", as a way to focus our thoughts on the transforming grace of God. When we pray prayers of gratitude, we draw close to the heart of God, and that changes everything.

So this holiday, whether we are celebrating Thanksgiving alone or with loved ones, let's proclaim Psalm 28:7 together: "The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him."

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

By his grace,
