Construction of the outdoor video display at TCO Stadium and the Twin Cities Orthopedics
Performance Center is underway. In September crews drilled four holes nearly 30 feet deep and poured concrete footings spanning eight feet in diameter. In total, more than 200 yards of concrete was used, enough to cover a mile-long sidewalk. With the concrete work behind them, crews will begin the installation of the videoboard's steel support structure this month.
Built by Daktronics, the video display will be located in the west end zone of TCO Stadium and will measure 1,620 square feet, the equivalent of 152 60-inch TVs. Daktronics will begin manufacturing the display, which will be made up of nearly one million LEDs, in November and expect to begin installation this December.
