Is Your Business Looking for an Intern in Accounting, Business, Information Technology, Education, Human Services or Paralegal Programs?
Inver Hills Community College in partnership with the Great Lakes Corporation and Affiliates is able to provide subsidized internships for Inver Hills students during Summer 2017, Fall 2017 or Spring 2018. Students would be paid $13/hr.-$17/hr. based on internship role.  Internships are a great way to try out a future employee, create brand awareness amongst community college students and gain new insights from a fresh pair of eyes. Interns can support work related to the above areas, work on projects, gain exposure to your industry and share your organization with others.

Organizations simply need to provide:
  • Work responsibilities related to the above areas
  • Onsite supervision and training
  • Basic documentation on the internship
To learn more, contact Dionna Jones, Director, Experiential Learning, (651) 450-3295, or see the website for details.

Member Spotlight: These Experiences are Truly Priceless
Melissa Wind, American Cancer Society
Everyday, I fight cancer. I fight with all of you, and for all of you. The American Cancer Society has been a part of every major cancer breakthrough in the past 100 years. As a Community Manager, I work to enhance local philanthropy and produce impactful fundraising events in our community. Our programs, lodging, and robust research all happen because of the work we do together.
Jumping into the Chamber has been so rewarding. In my two years with the Chamber, I have connected with dozens of professionals in the area through Coffee Breaks, Why Not Wednesday's, and participating on committees. Working on The WomEn's Conference committee is a highlight of my Chamber experience. What an amazing network of professional women we have!  I am grateful to all of the Chamber staff for providing support and networking opportunities throughout the year. You make it so easy and convenient to be a part of the business community. I look forward to a new year together!
