The COVID-19 pandemic has created a complex and stressful situation for the ESRD community. Access to constant news and media coverage, and medical and public health websites have caused information overload and may have increased patients' anxiety.
As the COVID-19 health emergency continues to evolve, dialysis facilities may make changes to policies including, social distancing, treatment schedule times, seating, and treatment duration. As these changes become more widespread, patients may have a difficult time adjusting to these lifestyle changes.
The ESRD Network created a two-part webinar that focused on the stressors and anxiety dialysis patients are facing during these difficult times.
