Happy Friday, Cornerstone Family! We're excited to welcome Pastor Tami Lundgren as our guest preacher this Sunday! She'll be preaching on Mark 11:12-14, 20-21 with a sermon titled, "Bearing Fruit Takes Times". You can read more about Tami below.

Tami is an associate pastor at Colonial Presbyterian Church. She has been married to her love, Erik, for 25 years and together they lead the marriage ministry at Colonial. They are proud parents of Bella (21), Nate (20), and JT (17).

Mark your calendar! We'll be having one service at 10:00AM on Sunday, October 6th to share an important update on our plans for our financial future! We look forward to worshipping with you!

Note: There will be no Kids Sunday School, but we will provide nursery care for kids 0-4 years old. Activity bags will be in the lobby for kids attending the worship service.

Our next Fellowship Dinner is next week! Join us on Thursday, October 3rd from 6:00-7:30PM at Unforked (7337 W 119th St Overland Park, KS 66213). This time together is a great way to meet new people and share a meal together. We hope to see you there!

We will be having our Fall Clean Up Day next Saturday, October 5th, from 8:00 to 11:00AM. Help us complete various projects around the church. No need to register. See you on October 5th!

Snuggle up in your coziest pajamas and join us in the Worship Center for a viewing of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (PG)! Cornerstone Kids will provide pizza, popcorn, and drinks. We will have a short discussion following the movie making connections between the storyline and the gospel. This event is designed for the whole family, and we encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors to attend this event! It's officially Fall! Cornerstone Kids + Cornerstone Social are teaming up for an outing at the Cider Hill Family Orchard on Saturday, October 12th from 2:00-4:00PM.

Last year there were hundreds of apples taken home and made into pies, cobbler and caramel apples. Make plans to attend this year and bring your friends to join in on the fun! Questions? Contact Doug Sharpe.

Cornerstone Basics is a class designed for you to learn more about the basics of the Christian faith. For the fall series of Basics, Cornerstone Member, Gene Baldwin, will lead the class through the book of Psalms. Details and registration below!

Description: The word "Psalm" in Greek means "song" so it's no surprise that this book of the Bible is of poetry and lyrics! The Psalms contain 150 songs, or poems, divided into five books: Songs of Ascent, Hymns of Praise, Psalms of Thanksgiving, Lament and Wisdom. About half of them were written by David.

Theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer called this book the "Prayerbook of the Bible" as these are very personal and relatable songs. While you'll only study the first 12 Psalms, this class will deepen your love for the Psalms and give you a thirst for more!

We're collecting several items the pantry are low on:

• Kid-friendly cereals (Lucky Charms, Frosted Flakes, Fruit Loops, etc.)
• Adult cereals (Chex, Cheerios, etc.)
• Canned fruit (any kind)
• White rice (preferably small bags)
