Weekly Update:
Friday, October 8, 2021
In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life." If Jesus is the truth, why is it sometimes hard to speak the truth? And, when we do speak the truth, how do we do it in love? Join us this Sunday as Sheldon leads us through the ninth commandment, "You shall not bear false witness". See you at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. online!
Tonight's The Night!
Tonight's the night! Here's a breakdown of our October Parents' Night Out:
  • 85 kids are anticipating a fun night of food, games, crafts and a bounce house!
  • About 40 parents are anticipating an evening to recharge and rejuvenate!
  • 30 volunteers are helping make this event a success!

Would you take a minute to pray for Parents' Night Out? Pray that the parents' are able to feel recharged, that the kids have a fun time and that God is glorified through it all. Thank you for your prayers!

October Mission Focus
We're collecting individually wrapped candies for our community event, Trunk or Treat! Last year, we had nearly 1,000 participants at this event. Help us supply candy for all the eager costumed kiddos!

Drop your bags of candy in the Missions Bin or drop it off on Sat., Oct. 23rd between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. in the church parking lot. Thank you for donating!
Trunk or Treat: October 29th
Our next community event is around the corner! Dress your children (or the whole family!) in costume and enjoy strolling through rows of decorated car trunks to collect candy. We'll also serve dinner and enjoy a bounce house, a funnel cake dessert truck and even a visit from the Chiefs' KC Wolf!

Help us reach out goal of having 25 "trunkers"! Click the button below to sign up!

Soul Healing Conference
Everyone has circumstances, past and present, that cause us to struggle at times with our emotions. We may feel sad, angry, lonely, or event worthless. When new hardships come, personally or in the world around us, we may find it harder to keep our spirits up and feel a connection to our Father.

Soul Healing conferences include a variety of topics that help heal hurts that hold us down, freeing us to experience the abundant life Jesus wants to give us. Their next conference is Fri., Oct. 22, 6-9pm and Sat., Oct. 23, 9am-Noon, at the Colonial Presbyterian Church, Quivira Campus (12501 W. 137th, Overland Park, KS 66221). For more information, contact Deb Swirczynski or visit their website.
