What a wonderful week at Lobo! Back-to-School Night was a great opportunity to connect with families, meet teachers, and get a glimpse into all the exciting learning ahead. We want to send a huge thank-you to our amazing teachers for welcoming everyone and making the evenings so special. We’re also grateful to our Principals for offering additional Back-to-School Night evenings, giving families more flexibility and helping make parking and attendance a little easier for everyone.
Back-to-School Night showed us just how many ways our teachers would love parent help this year—from Room Parents and Library or Art Helpers to small-group support and field trip chaperones. There will also be plenty of opportunities to pitch in with upcoming PTA events like Lunchtime Clubs, Book Fair and Fall Festival! Whether you can help for an hour or take on a bigger role, we’d love to have you. Before volunteering on campus, remember that all volunteers need to be Tier I or Tier II volunteers - details below.
Exciting news! The Spirit Wear Store is open NOW through September 30, so grab a tee for Spirit Day, a cozy hoodie for those cooler fall mornings, or matching gear for the whole family. Let’s fill our campus, sidelines, school events, parks, and community with Lobo pride!
Finally, mark your calendar for our first PTA meeting of the year on Thursday, September 17 at 8:15 AM in the MPR. This will be an exciting one as we kick off our year as a newly combined PTA. We’ll vote on our new budget and calendar of events, welcome additional board members and committee chairs, and hear from our club leads, event committees, Principal, and PTA advocacy team. Everyone is welcome whether you’re already involved, brand new to PTA, or just curious about what we’re all about. Come hear what’s ahead, meet other Lobo families, and find a way to be part of the year!

A HUGE thank you to the District for providing our Dolphins with their first Lobo shirts and helping kick off this brand-new chapter with some serious school spirit! Now it’s time to add a little color to the Ohana — and get ready for those cooler fall days ahead.
Spirit wear is about more than just looking cute. When our students, parents, teachers, and families wear Lobo gear, it creates a sense of belonging, pride, and connection. It reminds our kids that they’re part of something bigger — one school, one community, one pod.

Our Lobo volunteers are an incredibly important part of our school community! Whether you can give an hour here and there or want to be a regular volunteer, there are so many ways to get involved—in the classroom, with PTA, on field trips, in the library, and so much more. Every helping hand makes a difference!
Before volunteering on campus, all parents and volunteers must be cleared as either a Tier I or Tier II volunteer. Once you’re cleared, you’re ready to jump in and volunteer!
When you arrive to volunteer, please remember to:
- Sign in at the front office
- Pick up your yellow Volunteer badge
- Wear your badge while volunteering
- Sign out when you’re finished
Need help or have questions? Tracy and Chantile will be happy to help with check-in, tracking, or getting you pointed in the right direction.

Come kick off the school year with a sweet night of ice cream, family fun, and community!
Bring the whole family and let the kids play while parents get a chance to connect, meet other Lobo families, and hang out. It’s a relaxed way to get to know the people who make our school community so special.
While you’re there, stop by the PTA table to learn more about how you can get involved and hear about the amazing events, programs, and activities we’re planning for students, staff, and families this year.

Lobo families, TalkingPoints is one of the tools our school uses to keep families connected! Teachers can use TalkingPoints for direct, two-way communication with families, while our Lobo Office Manager can also send important school-wide reminders and updates by text. TalkingPoints supports communication in 150+ languages, making it easier for every family to stay informed.
TalkingPoints also has a free family app that makes it easy to keep all your school messages in one place, especially if you have more than one child. You can also receive TalkingPoints messages by text without downloading the app.
One important note: Classroom teachers choose how they communicate with their families and may use other platforms, such as ClassDojo. Be sure to check with your child's teacher to find out which communication tools they will be using this year.

Come join us for our first PTA meeting of the school year! Whether you’re already involved, brand new to PTA, or simply curious about what’s happening at Lobo this year, everyone is welcome.
There’s a lot happening on our campus, and this is a great opportunity to get connected, hear what’s ahead, and be part of shaping an exciting year for our students and families.
At the meeting, you can expect to:
- Vote on our new PTA budget and calendar of events
- Welcome new Board Members and Committee Chairs
- Hear from our Club Leads and Event Committees
- Get a Principal’s Report and campus updates
- Hear PTA advocacy and Leadership updates
- Learn about the many new and exciting events, programs, and changes happening at Lobo this year

Capture Your Family + Support Lobo PTA!
It’s time to update those family photos and you can help support Lobo Elementary PTA while you’re at it!
There are several locations and dates available through Fund Photos, but we’ve secured a special Lobo date on Sunday, October 18 at the San Clemente Pier! It’s the perfect chance to get beautiful beach photos while giving back to our school.
For every session booked, Fund Photos donates 100% of the session fee, $50, directly to Lobo PTA!
Each session includes:
- 15 minutes of photography for your immediate family or up to 6 people
- 2 high-res digital images to download
- Gallery of 30-40 edited, color-corrected, cropped, and straightened images to choose from
