Due to Covid-19, the staged reading will be performed in the Sanctuary to an in-person audience of up to 150, as well as on Zoom*. General admission will be free, but pre-registration is required. Voluntary donations and sponsorships are greatly appreciated

A: A Polish Klezmer musician who played an instrument of his own design, and who became a European 1830's sensation. Presentation by Yale Professor of History Dr. David Sorkin will focus on how modernization affected the lives and choices of early 19th century Prussian Jews.

Presentation is scheduled in anticipation of the Nov.7 staged reading of Ben Engel’s new play, “Havdalah" which addresses similar subject matter in dramatic form. Event is free but registration is required

Join us for an evening of music, headlined by Emanuel Synagogue's Hazzan Daniella Risman. The evening includes compositions by Felix Mendelssohn and other musicians of the same era. The concert is free but registration is required.
 
This concert is a lead-up to Ben Engel’s play, “Havdalah," which tells the story of the Mendelssohn family, focusing on the pressures, conflicts and opportunities Jews faced in 19th century Berlin.

A camp lover for his entire life,
Bradley wanted to help other kids have the opportunity to attend a camp. The Cramers discovered Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp which offers free camp to very sick children and their siblings, Bradley has designed T- shirts (front /back pictured) to raise funds to help kids take advantage of their year round programming in CT.
All funds raised from Bradley's T-hirt sales will be matched by his camp- High Meadow Day Camp to ALSO be donated to the Hole in the Wall!
