Dear Holy Name Families,
This month students are learning about cooperation. Mrs. Inchierca and Mrs. Callahan's classes put these skills to good use when they met for an activity this week. The kindergarten and third grade buddies wrote and illustrated short stories. They used their combined creativity to come up with the idea for the story. Then, the 3rd graders wrote the story before they worked together to illustrate it. Keeping with the March theme, many stories involved a mischievous leprechaun while others featured superheroes, sea life, and other animals. Great job to our young authors and illustrators!
Also, students demonstrated great cooperation as teammates on the basketball court yesterday for Student Council's Third Annual March Madness Tournament. St. Bonaventure bested Notre Dame in an overtime thriller to capture this year's crown. Congratulations to Charlie, Bridget, Terrence, Cam, and Greyson on their victory.
Thank you to our second grade for hosting our School Mass for the Solemnity of St. Joseph yesterday. We are one week away from the Glow Run and we are on our way to our fundraising goal. Thank you to everyone for their generous support so far. Your support means so much to our school.
Have a great weekend.
Best regards,
Mr. Chisholm

| | Holy Name Happenings - Through the Lens | | Cooperation in Action! This month, our students have been exploring what cooperation truly means—and they're learning by doing! Mrs. Inchierca and Mrs. Callahan's buddy classes partnered together on a collaborative project: writing and illustrating a story from start to finish. Working side by side, the students discovered firsthand that great things happen when we work together. | | |
Third Annual Holy Name March Madness a Roaring Success!
This year's Holy Name March Madness delivered everything we love about friendly competition—energy, great sportsmanship, and great moves on the court! Games were packed with excitement as student athletes showcased their skills and team spirit throughout the tournament.
The Student Council would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible:
- Mr. Hastings and Coach Richards for officiating with professionalism and enthusiasm!
- Parent volunteers for their generous support.
- Spectators for bringing the energy and school spirit!
- Most importantly, our student-athletes for competing with heart and respect!
March Madness is a Holy Name tradition, and events like this remind us why our school community is so special. Here's to next year! 🏀

Action Painting in K1–3! Did you ever wonder what it would feel like to paint with your feet? Well, check out these amazing photos from yesterday's action painting session! Our young artists transformed their open space into a creative studio—covered with paper and ready for exploration. Using a variety of tools (feet, paint brushes, and so much more!), the kids worked together dripping, stamping, and rolling to create this incredible collaborative artwork!
It was a wonderful reminder that art isn't just about the final piece—it's about the joy, teamwork, and sensory exploration along the way.
Can't wait to see what they create next!

We’re excited to officially kick off our Glow Run festivities! Students had a fantastic time at Monday’s pep rally, and the energy will continue as they take part in schoolwide challenges leading up to our Glow Run on March 27.
This is Holy Name’s largest bi-annual fundraiser, and it plays a critical role in supporting important improvements to our school. This year, funds raised will go directly toward new STEM lab furniture and equipment, as well as enhancements to our outdoor spaces.
We’re thrilled to share that we’ve already surpassed $25,000—thank you! With just one week to go, we need your help to reach our $60,000 goal. Every donation—big or small—makes a meaningful impact on our school community.
Here’s how you can support:
-
Register your student at MyBooster.com to set up their personal fundraising page
- Share your student’s link with family and friends via email, text, or social media
- Encourage your child to stay engaged and excited about reaching our schoolwide goal. Beginning next week, students will participate in nightly challenges, with classes competing to raise the most donations and earn special prizes and rewards.
Looking to complete volunteer hours? We’d love your help! There are plenty of opportunities to assist with Glow Run setup and event-day logistics. Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050C49AAAE2FA7FC1-62624993-holy
