Dear Holy Name Families,

If you walked into Finn Hall yesterday, you may have thought you had walked into the Majestic Theatre downtown. Miss Maturo's classroom performed their production of "Underwater Adventures," a play the students wrote themselves.

The play started with the composition of a book. Each student wrote and illustrated a scene that was collected into a twenty-page book. The students then brought that book to life with their performance. They also designed the set and their costumes. The students were divided into two casts who performed two shows for their fellow K1 students, K2, and faculty and staff. It was a great performance with some fantastic little actors.

Next week is Holy Week. Students in grades 2, 5, and 6 will have the opportunity for Confession on Monday. Our Holy Week School Mass will be on Wednesday at 8:45 am in the Upper Church.

The NEASC team enjoyed their visit to Holy Name earlier this week. While it will take a few weeks to finish their full report, they felt our school's mission is lived each day - a great compliment. They also enjoyed meeting and speaking with our students, teachers, and parents.

Have a great weekend.

Best regards,

Mr. Daniel Chisholm

Principal

Moments Captured this Week at HNPS

Fourth Graders Dive into Greek Mythology! This month, our fourth graders explored the interesting world of Greek mythology, and focused on the story of Pandora. Pandora was given a mysterious box with a cautionary message: "Never open it." Despite the warning, her curiosity got the better of her, and upon opening the box, she unleashed all the world's evils. Fortunately, she was able to save Hope, reminding us of the importance of resilience.

Inspired by Pandora's tale, our students engaged in a creative project where they wrote down their own "evils"—personal challenges they face—and designed their own Pandora boxes. This activity allowed them to reflect on these challenges and think about ways to overcome them.

Another great project showcasing the creativity and insight of our fourth graders!

🌿 Stations of the Cross: A Journey of Reflection 🌿

Third graders, led by their teachers, participated in the Mission Stations of the Cross today. At each station they reflected on the profound journey of Jesus leading up to His crucifixion. Each station offered a moment to pause and contemplate the sacrifices He made for us, as well as the love and compassion He exemplified.

This week marked the second phase of our NEASC accreditation with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, a respected standard of excellence for schools.

On Sunday, April 6th, the NEASC Visiting Team toured our campus, met with staff, students, and parents, and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Our students played a vital role by leading tours and showcasing their musical talents during the social hour as well as delivering a speech and prayer before our meal. The NEASC team was comprised of esteemed educators from across New England, they conducted interviews and observed our school during this past week. We look forward to their insights! Our Parish Hall was beautifully transformed for this occasion!

Wishlists books have arrived!! After a very successful book fair, books that were ordered from the Teachers Wishlists have arrived.  We are very grateful to all the families that purchased books for classrooms during the fair as well as those who very generously also allowed us to order online.

Thank you to our wonderful HNPS Families and community.
