Dear Holy Name Families,

On Wednesday, Fr. Ferme celebrated an All-School Mass for Holy Week. The second grade served as our hosts. Throughout Lent, students have had confession and Teaching Masses, participated in the Rice Bowl Project, and made personal sacrifices in preparation for Easter Sunday. Yesterday, kindergarten students participated in their annual Easter egg hunt. We wish everyone a blessed and happy Easter.

Nursery and K1 enjoyed their visit to the Franklin Park Zoo on Tuesday. Fortunately, the rain held off long enough for them to visit the exhibits and learn about the different animals. Thank you to Mrs. Buckley, Mrs. Hardiman, our teachers, and parent chaperones for making this visit possible.

The spring uniform takes effect after April break. We will also begin our Spring MAP testing when we return.

Have a great April vacation.

Best regards,

Mr. Daniel Chisholm

Principal

Moments Captured this Week at HNPS

Reflection on Holy Week ~ Today, we gathered for an all-school Mass during this holiest week of the year, with Father Ferme celebrating and second grade assisting. We look forward to Easter Sunday, the most sacred day of all—the Resurrection.

May God bless us all during this sacred time.

Celebrating Jackie Robinson Day! On Wednesday, we honored Jackie Robinson for his pivotal role in breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball. His courage and determination paved the way for future generations.

In fifth grade ELA the students read the book "We Are the Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball." Through this powerful narrative, they've learned about the incredible athletes of the Negro League and the challenges they faced.

As part of their activities, students used persuasive writing to advocate for the recognition of all those in the Negro League who worked tirelessly to break barriers and make history. Join us in celebrating these remarkable contributions to sports and society!

Nursery and K1 visited the Franklin Park Zoo this week. They had such fun exploring various exhibits and learning about the different animals. They are so lucky that the rain held off!

Easter egg hunt fun in Nursery, K1 and K2, so much fun! Happy Easter from everybunny!

A Grateful Thank You to Our Holy Name community! We sincerely appreciate the generosity of our community. The tables in the library were overflowing with birthday gifts, including books, pajamas and toys. Many children will surely feel joy on their special day!
