Dear Holy Name Families,

Congratulations to our newly elected Student Council members! We are also grateful to all the students who ran for one of its positions. While today's announcement brought disappointment to some, it is always a positive sign to see how many students want to help our school. We treated all candidates to ice cream and popsicles before dismissal today. We encourage all these candidates to continue to look for ways to help our school next year and to run again at the next opportunity.

Thank you to our Band Program for an exceptional concert on Tuesday morning. The concert showcased the musical talent that students have cultivated throughout this year.

Yesterday, our sixth grade visited the State House at the invitation of Senator Mike Rush. Senator Rush toured the 6th grade around the State House and shared the building's history while teaching the students about how state government works. Students witnessed a session in both the Senate and House chambers before participating in a mock committee debate where they were joined by Representatives Consalvo and MacGregor. Thank you to Senator Rush for this opportunity.

Saturday is Home and School's Adult Social. I hope to see you there.

Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Mr. Daniel Chisholm

Principal

Moments Captured this Week at HNPS

We are incredibly proud of all our student candidates who ran for Student Council! Campaign week concluded on Tuesday with inspiring election speeches. The candidates delivered positive and uplifting messages about how they can enhance HNPS even further. With enthusiasm and passion for our school, 60 candidates shared their visions! The election will determine the 15 spots on the board.

Spring Band Concert Highlights! On Wednesday our talented aspiring musicians took the stage for the Spring Band Concert! The performance showcased the musical abilities and talents of our students. The violins kicked things off with five beautiful selections, concluding with Mozart's 'Theme.' The winds and percussion filled the air with some classic hits. It was a wonderful and musical morning! Thank you to Andrei Sobchenko and Jim Repa for your fine instruction and of course our band & violin students!

Sixth Grade went on a field trip to the Massachusetts State House yesterday. Senator Rush kindly gave the class a private, informative tour. The State House’s rich history—with its design by Charles Bulfinch and cornerstones laid by Governor Samuel Adams and Paul Revere—is truly something to be proud of. During the visit, we explored Doric Hall, Nurses Hall, the Hall of Flags, and the Senate Chambers. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by the Senator and had the chance to participate in a mock vote. It was a wonderful day filled with our state’s history and a celebration of its heritage.

Congratulations to Jai! Yesterday, Senator Rush presented Jai with his official citation and offered congratulations in recognition of his Honorable Mention in the 2025 Letters About Literature Initiative.

Congratulations to our newly elected Student Council!
