June 5, 2026

Dear Holy Name Families,

Judging by the tired looks at Wednesday's dismissal, I'd say Field Day was a success. Students competed in the banana relay, water balloon toss, and sponge relay. They also enjoyed the basketball truck, petting zoo, and perfect weather. I think we set a new record with more than 95 parent volunteers - thank you for spending your day with us and leading all of the activities. We are grateful to the parent planning committee for their months of planning and attention to detail that made Field Day enjoyable for everyone.

Today, we hosted our traditional "walk through and clap-out" for the 6th graders as they excited the building for the final time today. This morning Mr. Gordon awarded one final Eagle to the Class of 2026 for courage. In his nomination he wrote, "Each of you has special talents and gifts to share with the world. I am proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see all that lies ahead for each of you." We extend our congratulations to the 6th graders and thank them for their leadership this year. We will host their Graduation Ceremony at 5:30 pm this evening.

Next week is our final week of school. With the rise in temperatures, students in K2 to 5th grade are welcome to wear HNPS gym uniforms in place of the regular uniform next week.

Nursery, K1, and K2 have a half-day and casual day on Tuesday. The final day for grades 1 to 5 is Thursday. Dismissal is 11 am; it is also a casual day.

Enjoy the long weekend.

Best regards,

Mr. Chisholm
