Cuddle up for a Havdalah experience including a great movie, hot chocolate and other treats! Wear your PJs or just be comfortable. We are celebrating the beginning of the reading of the Book of Exodus with a viewing of "The Prince of Egypt"!

We will collect donations to benefit Yad Yehuda Kosher Food Pantry, so bring some cans, boxes or bags of non-perishable, Kosher food to give. Register Here.

Cost: Adults are $22; children 5-14 are $14 and under age 5 are Free. Family maximum cost of $75. Register using individual cost, choose "bill to my account" and we will adjust the amount for you.


SAVE THE DATE - Night of Sweet Laughter 13: Comedy Night FUNdraiser, February 10, 2024 Registration is open - mark your calendars now and plan to join us for our B’nai Mitzvah year event! Join us for this annual night of fun, friendship and laughter!! $50 a ticket includes: a 7:00-7:45 pm pre-show reception including heavy hot hors d’ouerves, followed by the comedy show and post-show dessert buffet. $40 a ticket includes: the comedy show and post-show dessert buffet. All tickets also include noshes on your table and one free beverage. We will have an open cash bar throughout the evening featuring wine, beer, and soda beverages. Our popular 50/50 Raffle is back! Credit cards will be accepted throughout the event to make your purchases easier.  Laugh along with our Headliner Roger Mursick , and back as our Emcee, Irwin Loring. NEW EXHIBIT coming to the Winer Family Gallery at Shaare Tefila

Beginning on Wed., January 10, 2024 and running thru Feb. 26, the Winer Family Gallery will host its next exhibit; “The Layers Within; Mixed Media Collage” by Jeanne Sullivan.

Jeanne Sullivan studied art at the University of Maryland, furthering her studies with classes and workshops in collage and encaustics. She is a resident artist at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn where she teaches adult collage workshops and collage summer camps for teens. She has provided artist talks about her approach to her collage work to area art groups and has provided demonstrations at area art events. Her work is shown widely throughout the DC Metro area.


Please be aware that Shaare Tefila Congregation is now participating in Sunflower Bakery’s “Sweets of the Month” program so we are pre-scheduled for a monthly delivery of baked goods from Sunflower. You can place orders and conveniently schedule your pick up at our synagogue!

2. At “CHOOSE PICKUP OR DELIVERY”, choose Sweets of the Month Pickup

3. Then proceed to “CHECK OUT”
