Dear Holy Name Families,

Our nursery, K1, and K2 classes brought the spirit of Halloween to Holy Name today. Dressed as scientists, witches, Spider Man, and more, they paraded around the front schoolyard this morning - an annual tradition. Older students enjoyed the Halloween Casual Day and classroom celebrations.

On Wednesday, we prayed the rosary as a school community along with special guest Joe Mazzulla. Before and after the rosary, Coach Mazzulla reflected on his experience in Catholic education and discussed why the rosary has become a daily devotion for him. We appreciate him taking time to be with us for the third year; we take time each October to pray the Rosary as a school - October is dedicated to this special prayer.

We have no school on Monday for our fall faculty professional day. On Monday, West on Centre is holding a neighborhood night for Holy Name. West will donate 10% of its proceeds on take-out and dine-in orders that present the coupon below. The fundraiser will benefit the sixth grade trip to Camp Eisner.

Holy Name Men’s Group (HNMG): Looking to connect with other men in the Holy Name community? Join us for faith, fellowship, and conversation on the first and third Saturdays, 7:15–9:00 a.m., in the parish rectory basement. Coffee and bagels are often available, and an optional 9:00 a.m. Mass follows select gatherings. All men of the parish and school community are welcome. We hope to see you there!

A Special Rosary with Coach Mazzulla! On Wednesday we gathered for a school-wide Rosary with Coach Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics, who joined us by Zoom. Our sixth graders led each decade as Coach shared how daily prayer strengthens his faith. A special time of prayer for our school community.

Happy Halloween from Holy Name Parish School! Our school was filled with Halloween spirit, creative costumes, big smiles, and plenty of fun! From trick-or-treating and our annual Halloween parade to classroom parties, our Eagles enjoyed a spooktacular day together. Wishing all of our HNPS families a safe and happy Halloween!
