Dear Holy Name Families,

Students thoughtfully selected gifts for everyone on their list at this week's Santa's Workshop. Many students showed their shopping savviness by coming in under budget so they could pick up an item for themselves. Enjoy your gifts! Thank you to Home & School and especially the shoppers for making this event happen.

It has been a busy week for H&S. Santa's Workshop follows on the heels of the successful Holiday Marketplace. Thank you to everyone who attended the marketplace as well as our Advent Prayer Service and Tree Lighting. Thank you to Student Council and our choir members for leading us in prayer and song last Sunday.

We are looking forward to our annual Nativity and Christmas Show next Thursday. Parents, grandparents, family and friends are invited to attend. The show begins at 9 am in Parish Hall; doors will open at 8:45 am. See additional details below. It is hard to believe that Christmas and school vacation are upon us. As a reminder, next Friday is a half-day and casual day. Even though next Friday is a casual day, we do encourage students to wear green and red or Christmas attire; we perform the Christmas Show a second time so students and teachers can see it in its entirety.

With break coming, please don't forget to order lunches or sign up for Extended Day for the first week of January. Also, we'd appreciate it if you can take a few minutes to complete our mid-year survey (see details below).

Enjoy the weekend.

Best regards,

Mr. Chisholm

Parent Survey: Please Share Your Thoughts

As we enter December and approach the mid-point of the school year, we are asking parents to take a brief survey about your family's experience so far. Parent feedback is important to us. The survey will be open through December 19th. The survey was created by CSSN, one of the school's partners, but the results will come to school leadership to help inform decision making. Please take15 minutes to complete the survey.

The Angel Card Project

Over the last week, students participated in the Angel Card Project in art classes. Students designed cards to be sent to those less fortunate, ill, or otherwise in need.

Our 6th graders volunteered some additional time after school today to address and affix stamps to the envelopes. Thank you to Ms. Patterson for introducing this initiative as well as Ms. Buckley for including the project in her class.

  • January 21st - 23rd: MAP Testing for Grades 1 to 6
