CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NEWS
Membership Renewals for the Chamber of Commerce

Renewal Notices for 2020 have been mailed, but I realized that I forgot to change the date to reflect that a discount of 5% is offered if the dues are paid by December 31st , not December 1st.
Osawatomie's Window Decorating Contest - Judging Has Opened

The Winner will be privy to the "Annual Nutcracker Award" among other things and bragging rights. City Hall took the reigns last year, although Eyecare Associates was right there with them. I guess City Hall had more traffic?!?

Whatever the case - a new winner shall be crowned this year! The Chamber invites you to drive around the City of Osawatomie beginning NOW through Thursday, December 19th to vote for your favorite window decoration! For a complete list of entrants, please feel free to visit the Chamber's Website.

You may submit your votes on paper at the Chamber Office (509 5th Street) or at
Hanaya dba Hanes Florist & Main Street Gifts (570 Main Street) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to vote on the best decorated window. Either place will supply you with the voting slips.

You may also submit your vote via e-mail to [email protected] or you may call the Chamber Office at (913) 755-4114. If I am unavailable, please feel free to leave a voicemail with your vote.

DECEMBER BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
OLATHE HEALTH FAMILY MEDICINE OF OSAWATOMIE

Olathe Health Family Medicine has been providing quality medical care to the Osawatomie area for more than 30 years.
Their doctors, Dr. Jonathan Newkirk, Dr. Brian Cooke, Dr. Sara Cobine and their newest addition, Katie Brand PAC, have all remained dedicated to their patients for many years.

They are blessed to have an amazing clinical staff of nurses, lab techs, x-ray techs, and patient service representatives who have also been with them for a number of years. They enjoy the small town atmosphere, and knowing the patients on a personal level... maybe your kids have been playing on the same sports teams as theirs, or maybe you have been on the same committees as them for community events.

They continue to expand their services with Walk In Services now available in all of their five clinics in Miami and Linn county. Their goal and top priority is to continue to provide quality, compassionate care to all of their current and future patients.

Olathe Health Family Medicine of Osawatomie invites you to join them for a chamber coffee on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m at their freshly re-modeled facility here in Osawatomie. They would like to introduce you to their newest provider Katie Brand, PA-C. Katie joined their practice in June of this year and is excited to be a part of the Olathe Health Group providing compassionate care to our communities.

In addition to meeting Katie, they would like to show off some of the recent upgrades they have made to their clinic to enhance their patients’ experience and to inform you of their future plans to continue to provide excellent patient care within our community and nearby communities. They have been providing quality medical care to the Osawatomie area for more than 30 years and they look forward to the next 30 years and more.

Special For the Month:

Olathe Health Family Medicine - Osawatomie will be hosting a coffee on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m. at their freshly re-modeled facility here in Osawtomie. Please show your support by attending this coffee. This is a great way to get to know their staff and a great way to network with other businesses. Your support for their business is appreciated!

It's ALMOST time for the 2020 C
Did you know if 1 person is missed in your community in the 2020 Census, there is a potential financial loss to your community of $2,082? In Kansas, the average household is 2.5 residents. If one “average” household is missed, that can cost a community $5,205 per year. Then, consider that a census won’t occur for another 10 years – that’s $52,050 in lost resources your community relies on! The Census is important and that’s why we need you to get your city, county, and community involved!
