The Truth About Palestine: An Evening with Tamar Haddad

Sunday, February 27, 7pm-8pm

Tamar Haddad, author of The Future of Palestine: How Discrimination Hinders Change, is a recent ELCA International Women Leaders scholarship recipient and graduate of California Lutheran University. She is serving this year as the Youth Minister and Children's Choir Director for Christ Lutheran Church in Ferndale.

In this evening on Zoom, Tamar will share stories of growing up as a Palestinian Christian, explain why it's important to understand the realities in Palestine--especially of those who are overlooked or silenced--and discuss Christian Zionism. Our synod's Strategic Team for Authentic Diversity heard a similar presentation in January and thought the whole synod could benefit from Tamar's experiences.

All synod congregations, ministries, and individuals are invited to attend the Zoom presentation. Tamar will speak for 30-40 minutes and leave 20-30 minutes for questions. Please contact Pr. Jana Schofield with questions about the presentation: pastor@clcferndale.org.
