Knit a Square a Month
Making an afghan can be very boring–same pattern after pattern, stitch after stitch, row after row–UGH! Instead, knit 12 squares, one per month. Each month we will send you directions for your next square. When all squares are done, we'll all meet, sew the squares together and then each person can decide if they want to donate their afghan to charity or keep it.
