CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NEWS
PLEASE READ

With COVID-19 taking it's toll on our community events, I have instead listed below Osawatomie Business Operations (that I know of). If you would like me to include any information about your business hours or changes in services, please feel free to call (leave a voicemail) or e-mail. I will be checking both frequently throughout the day.

ALSO!! If you could complete the form the county is compiling of businesses and their that would be AWESOME. I did it for both the Chamber & the Flower Shop and it takes all of two seconds and is SUPER HELPFUL!!

Please understand why all of these precautions are being implemented.
We are doing this because we care for our loved ones, for our neighbors, for our friends, for our schools, for our community and for each other.

And, though times are tough, Keep Smiling!
Smiles are also contagious and much safer to catch and pass on!

BARDEN DENTISTRY:

At Barden Family Dentistry, our main goal has always been to protect the health of our patients, our team, and our community. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re closing the office for all elective dental treatment until April 6th. We will be in contact with you as soon as we learn more. Here are some details you should know:

Many dental procedures can be postponed a couple of weeks, others cannot. If you have a dental emergency, please contact us and we’ll take care of you. If you’re in pain, have a broken tooth or an abscess, please first call our office 913-755-3014 to see if someone is available. If you are unable to reach us, you can call or text our emergency line at 913-738-7555. We will get back with you as soon as possible. If you are unsure whether something can wait, please reach out to us and leave a message with one of the phone numbers listed and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. Please reach out to us before going to the emergency room for tooth pain or discomfort! We are here for you and we don't want you to hesitate by thinking you will "bother" us. We assure you we are happy to help and looking forward to talking to someone different!

If you have essential ongoing treatment with us, we will keep you on the schedule or re-appoint your treatment as needed. Our online practice portal is always open. You can log in at  www.patientconnect365.com  to look up past appointments and access our office forms and documents.

We wish you all good health. Please know that we will get through this together!

This is not a decision made lightly but we are doing our part to minimize social contact in hopes to protect our patients, staff and community.  If you have an upcoming appointment, a staff member will contact you soon.

We will maintain office hours for the time being to allow patients to order and pickup glasses and contact lenses as needed. We are asking if you do need to come by the office that you do so alone or with only one other person if necessary. We are available by telephone to schedule and reschedule appointments and order contact lenses. We will also continue to post updates on our Facebook page. Thank you for your understanding as this situation evolves.

If you are experiencing an urgent eyecare need such as sudden vision change/vision loss, eye pain or injury, red eye, flashes or floaters in vision, broken or lost glasses, please do not hesitate to call us as we are seeing patients on a limited basis for those urgent needs. Do NOT visit the emergency room for these needs, we can take care of them in the office.

Lastly, we wish you good health in the coming weeks and look forward to seeing you all again soon. We appreciate your decision to do business with us and look forward to continuing to do so.  Please continue to support all of our local businesses in the coming months - together we will persevere!

Did You Know?

Be sure to count everyone who lives in your home on your 2020 Census form.

This includes babies and young children, who are often missed in the census. Not counting newborn babies and children impacts support for programs such as children’s health insurance, hospitals, childcare, food assistance, schools, and early childhood development. It is important to count all the babies and children in your home, even if they aren’t related to you or are only staying with you temporarily.
