It's Gardening Time!
Sunday, April 28, shifts starting 8:00am
House Committee needs help transplanting overgrown bushes, planting new plants, weeding, edging and spreading mulch. Need people to help with 3-hour shifts–one shift starting at 8am and another at 10am.
Josh Degen and Linda Lischer will support and supervise. Rain date of May 5. Need people to bring own working gloves. Could use shovels, hard rakes, leaf rake, wheelbarrows, edgers, buckets, brooms, pruning shears, loppers, 100 ft. extension cord, hedge trimmer, blower. If you are available for a few hours, please email Larry Cohen and let him know what starting time is best for you and what tools you will be bringing.

One Community Read April 30
Powerful story of how a prominent white supremacist changed his heart and mind. It can help us understand what is happening in this American moment and better understand one another. Open to the public. At Congregation Shalom. Details.
We're excited to have Whitney Taylor as our moderator. She is Political Director in the Public Advocacy Department at the ACLU in Boston. Members will be able to stream the discussion, so if you can't make it to the temple on April 30, you can join remotely.

From Award-Winning Holocaust Memoir
Rabbi Joseph Polak, author of After the Holocaust the Bells Still Ring , will present a unique and dramatic reading from his memoir at Congregation Shalom. A book signing will follow.  Details and RSVP.
