Block Blitz Amity!

Neighborhood repair and beautification in Amity!

This week, MacHabitat teamed up with the City of Amity for a landscaping and neighborhood beautification project! Having a "blitz" in one neighborhood allows us to serve multiple low-income seniors, veterans and community members in an area. With the power of volunteers, we are able to knock out our “Block Blitz,” projects in one day!

Big thanks to our partners for this project:

  • Special thanks to Alex Secor from Secor Homes & Jake Strother from Houla Creek Development for providing crucial equipment that allowed us to do big projects.
  • City of Amity (Mayor King & Nathan Frarck) for helping coordinate the event & working hard during the event.
  • MacHabitat staff members David, Brent, Jenn, Katie, Michelle, Kelli, Caleigh, Sarah, and Andrew.
  • Volunteers Lara, Lonny, Taylor (Secor Homes), Andrew (Amity High School)
  • Students from Duniway Middle School
  • MV Advancements staff Madison & Laura and their client, Mike

Volunteer Opportunities!

Come Volunteer!

Volunteers Needed - UFO Festival Parade!

Team MacHabitat is participating in the 25th annual UFO Festival Parade! This is a great opportunity for organizations like MacHabitat to get our brand and mission in front of THOUSANDS of locals and visitors, helping continue to combat the affordable housing crisis in Yamhill County.

Volunteers who want to join us will walk or ride in our "float" (a.k.a. UFO-themed truck) and represent MacHabitat by passing out goodies to parade attendees and creating an overall fun energy! Bring yourself and your family for a fun new view of the parade by being a part of it
