Oz Commons - Downtown Osawatomie Redevelopment

The City of Osawatomie has submitted a Planning Sustainable Places grant proposal and we need community support!

Please take a moment to follow the link below and leave a supportive comment in favor of our proposed Oz Commons project. This planning grant would help us find ways to reconnect our community via new sidewalks, bike paths, and other multi-modal pathways between neighborhoods, our historical landmarks, the downtown district and the Flint Hills Nature Trail. This increased accessibility is the gateway to the next generation of tourism (especially ecotourism) and the key to revitalizing our downtown and making sure it survives for another 100 years.

In conjunction with Ady Advantage, Miami County is surveying businesses to gather information on the economic climate and challenges facing business owners. When responding to the survey, you will have the ability to remain anonymous. The generalized data will be provided to county and city leaders.

If you wish to identify yourself and request information about programs that would be helpful to you, you also have the option to do that. You will receive the survey via email at a later time. It should take no more than five minutes to complete.

Surveys will be sent the weeks of July 27, Sept. 14 and Nov. 16. Results will be available about two weeks later. They will be posted on our website at  www.ThinkMiamiCounty.com . They will also be shared with the local chambers of commerce, each city and county officials.

Additional information about the program and the Miami County Economic Development Strategic Plan can be found here  http://www.miamicountyks.org/905/Strategic-Plan .
