Country Vintage Inn

Sorry to see them go...

Although they have loved providing the service of a motel to the city of Osawatomie, it was time for their family to go in a different direction. They are so grateful for all of the support they have received from from the community over the years, but as of August 8, 2019, Country Vintage Inn has officially closed.
Coach Light

After more than four decades of owning and operating the Coach Light, Joyce Schrader is retiring. Her and Gordon purchased the Coach Light from Gladys Ann Hawkins and Eleanor Budke on January 1, 1977. During the first years of operation, Joyce's mother (who had many years of fashion experience) worked with her. Velma Boehm who has been Joyce's loyal and treasured "right hand" for the past three decades is ready to retire too.

They will be open for one more week and will officially be closing the Coach Light on Friday, August 23rd.
BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
AUGUST BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
KsFiberNet

For the past decade, Kansas Fiber
Network has been providing state-of-the-art telecom and IP services to businesses throughout the
state of Kansas and beyond. In May 2009, KsFiberNet was formed by 29 Kansas Independent Telephone Company member-owners to provide exceptional service and innovative solutions while returning value to their member-owners, customers, and communities.

Led by a leadership team with over 135 combined years of industry experience, their company has become a leading provider of high-capacity fiber-based networks. In the past 10 years, KsFiberNet has acquired over 4,000 miles of backbone fiber, 70 local access providers, and has connected over 250 cities with no indication of slowing down.

At the forefront leading the team to these expansions, is President Mike Brigman.

"KsFiberNet is dedicated to continuous improvement in an industry that is vital to advancements in technology," Brigman said. "This is a very exciting time and I am confident in our team’s efforts and dedication to further success."

In the wake of our 10th anniversary, KsfiberNet continues to make strides throughout the telecommunications industry with over 30,000 on net lit buildings and recent expansions to two Tierpoint data centers ; 14500 West 105th Street, Lenexa, KS, and 322 E. Archer Street, Tulsa, OK .

“KsFiberNet continues to demonstrate our steady commitment to bringing exceptional and competitively priced business-class service to our customers,” Brigman stated. “As a team, we are proud to be doing our part in closing the digital divide in rural America.”

Other members of the KsFiberNet team also agree that the company has come a long way since its start in 2009. One such employee who has seen nearly all of the company’s progressions first-hand, is VP of Network Planning and Development, Bob Wallentine.

“I am very proud of what we’ve accomplished in a short amount of time,” Wallentine said. “It is a pleasure working with a supportive Board of Managers, member-owners, and high achieving staff who have been part of the successful evolution of KsFiberNet.”

Along with data center connectivity, KsFiberNet also offers mobile backhaul, carrier ethernet, dark fiber, wavelength, and more. Known for their exceptional customer service and on-time delivery, they can offer you custom solutions to help carry your business to the next level.
