On Wednesday, September 12th, young professional organizations across Greensboro will host the annual Young Professionals On Tap at the historic McAlister-Leftwich House from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Hosted by synerG, Greensboro Jaycees, Vivace Young Professionals, YP Civitan, Future Fund, Junior League of Greensboro, GMA Risers, United Way Young Leadersand the McAlister-Leftwich House. Lao Opens in Downtown Greensboro Lao Restaurant + Bar, a Laotian restaurant located at 219-A South Elm Street, will open its doors today. The new restaurant, which occupies the old Crafted - Art of the Taco space, will feature a vibrant menu of noodles, rice and curry dishes. Check out more about Lao Restaurant + Bar here . Southern Supper Fundraiser for Tiny Houses On Saturday 9/8 join community members for a Southern Supper Fundraiser benefiting Tiny House Community Development. Enjoy a southern menu of chicken pie, veggies, homemade desserts and sweet tea. There will be a Tiny House available for touring and learning about the effort end homelessness. City Council Approves Downtown Parking Decks At the Greensboro City Council meeting last week, council members voted to approve funding for two new parking decks downtown. One will be on the corner of February One & Dave Street. The other will be on the corner of Eugene and Bellemeade. To read about this and other planned development click here .
