ThanksA Heartfelt Thanks

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation for the sweet treats, cards written with love, and Halloween gifts left on our desks this morning from our St. Michael's families. They brightened our days on this first morning of transition with Father Tom as our acting interim principal and gave us a reason to giggle and laugh among the staff as we showed off our new Halloween headbands that lit up, be-"witching" socks, Halloween wall decorations and desk plaques. Thank you to all of our St. Michael families for your continued love, support, and prayers during this challenging time and for encouraging us to hold true to the Top 20 as we grieve the departure of our former principal and colleague.

4th Grade Robotics

RobotMrs. Morgan paid a visit to the 4th grade classrooms this week to show two short video clips showcasing the current FLL Lego League challenge for the 2017-18 school year, as 4th grade is looking for more team members.

She explained the many roles students can play if they decide to become a part of robotics. Students learned about numerous robotics missions, how important water is to humans and the environment, and ended their session by asking questions about robotics meetings and what they typically entail.

Students who are interested in math, science, coding, programming, driving, drawing diagrams, writing summaries of meetings, designing, building, and Lego construction can all contribute significantly to a robotics team.
