Bring your gently used or new items to school until January 9 and place them in the collection boxes located around our school.  Catch the Super Bowl spirit and join us as we help children in our local community.

Box Tops winners for December are:
Preschool-1st grade: Mrs. Peterson's first grade
2nd-5th grade: Mrs. DeGross's third grade
Middle School: Mr. Olson's homeroom
We brought in $ 85.50 this month. So far this year, we have brought in $ 617.80. Our goal for this year is $1,500.00. Right now Mrs. Vochoska's class is in the lead for the pizza party in April. Mr. Olson's homeroom is in second place!

Explore the Earth, Moon, Mars ... and beyond.  Mad Science teams up with NASA to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in this program featuring student activities from the NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers Program.  This voyage of discovery features unique hands-on activities, amazing demonstrations and fun educational take-homes, in an experience that is truly out of the world!  Class content varies depending on series length. Party Information

This year Ash Wednesday and Valentine's Day fall on the same day. Our Valentine's parties will be moved to Tuesday, February 13th so we can properly observe Ash Wednesday as a solemn day of prayer and fasting.

Our Media Center is receiving some updates, and library volunteers are working diligently at reorganizing our resources. We will open the Media Center as soon as we can! In the meantime, there is no library time for classes this week. We thank you for your patience!



  virtusVIRTUS SESSION

VIRTUS SESSION JANUARY 7TH FOR
NEW VOLUNTEERS:
VIRTUS Training in response to the Charter for
the Protection of Children and Youth, the Archdiocese
of Minneapolis and St. Paul requires
training sessions for all adult volunteers having
contact with children, youth and vulnerable
adults. The program specifically addresses how
the entire parish and school communities can
protect all of God's children from sexual abuse.
Along with attending a Virtus session, a background
check and 3 step code of conduct training
is required by those 18 and older to volunteer
with minors and vulnerable adults. A FREE
VIRTUS training is being offered at St. Michael
Catholic Church on Sunday, January 7th
from 1:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. in Archangels Hall.

Academy of Holy Angels is hosting our Winter Open House on Thursday, January 11, 6 - 8 p.m.

Placement Test at HFCHS for incoming 9th Grade Students

Placement Tests for prospective ninth grader students will be administered at 8:00 a.m. on January 20, 2018. (Parents are invited to stay for a parent welcome and tuition assistance seminar.) For students with enrollment applications on file there is no charge. All other students will be charged a $25 fee for the Placement Exam. Students should plan on arriving by 7:50 a.m. Calculators are not needed.
