  netsmartzNetsmartz

During the months of February and March, students in grades K-8 have lessons in both internet safety and personal safety. We use materials from Netsmartz ( https://www.netsmartzkids.org/ ) and the Monique Burr Foundation/ Child Safety Matters ( https://mbfchildsafetymatters.org/ ) to meet Archdiocesan required objectives. ( http://www.archspm.org/sections/child-components/ ).

This is also a great time to remind all adults about the Safe Environment training required to volunteer with students at St. Michael Catholic School. This includes a live course called VIRTUS and a few online training modules, a background check, and a signed Code of Conduct. Before you are allowed to coach, work one- on-one with students, or attend field trips or overnight trips, volunteers must complete the "essential three" listed above.

MEDIA CENTER
VOLUNTEER TRAINING

If you volunteer with your child's class or if you come in at a separate time to shelve books, we ask that everyone attends a training with Mrs. Sher, Mrs. Martell, or Mrs. Morgan. If possible, we prefer to train 2 or more people at a time. We want all media center volunteers to be trained in consistently,

BookBook Fair 2018
