Roanoke College Graduation
The Roanoke College Class of 2022 walked across the commencement stage on Saturday, May 7, at the College campus in Salem. The Class of 2022 is comprised of 449 graduates from 30 states and nine countries. One hundred seventy-six graduates earned the Bachelor of Arts degree, 81 received the Bachelor of Business Administration, and 192 obtained the Bachelor of Science degree. A record-breaking five students from the Class of 2022 earned valedictorian honors.

Roanoke College President Michael Maxey presided over his final commencement ceremony as president, and he will retire this summer after 15 years as president.   Three honorary degrees were awarded to Dr. Peter Hotez, First Lady Terri Maxey, and President Michael Maxey. Congratulations to all the graduates!

Who is invited? 

Register today for the 2022 Synod Gathering & Celebration of Service! Lay people, rostered ministers, candidates for ministry, and leaders from mission partners are all welcome to attend. Congregations can send as many people as they would like. This is not a business assembly, so there are no participants limits. 

There are two registration options. You can stay on campus at Roanoke College or you can commute. All participants will be able to attend two workshops of their choice, a keynote address, festival worship, and help with a service project. Meals are included. 

Registration closes on July 1. Start making your plans to attend today!

Virginia Synodical Women's Convention

Register to attend on August 12-13, 2022 for the 34th annual Convention of the Virginia Synodical Women's Organization of the Women of the ELCA to be held in person at Hotel 24 South in Staunton, Virginia.

Please check their website for updates and Call to Convention. The registration deadline will be July 15!
"Giving Back" Golf Tournament

"Giving Back" Golf Tournament benefiting TWO amazing organizations: Shenandoah Valley Lutheran Ministries and Caroline Furnace Lutheran Camp & Retreat Center. 
The golf tournament will be held on May 20–21 at Shenvalee Golf Resort, 9660 Fairway Drive in New Market.
