Virginia Synod Candidates Update
Candidates in the Virginia Synod are up to some amazing things, and we're taking some time to learn what their call to ministry is like from the stories they share. This is simply one way we can celebrate God's Holy Spirit calling candidates in our synod to serve God's mission in and through the church.
Samantha DiBiaso has been a member of the Virignia Synod for 12 years. She grew up actively engaged with her home congregation, First Lutheran Church in Norfolk, VA, and grew into even more experiences with Lutheran Campus Ministry at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Blacksburg, VA. After graduating from Virgina Tech in 2017, she served for a year as an ELCA Young Adult in Global Mission (YAGM) in Mabopane, South Africa. This summer she will be interning in the Virginia Synod Office as the Youth and Young Adult Ministry Intern.

Samantha has been awarded the ELCA Fund For Leaders Full-Tuition Scholarship; a scholarship announced by Presiding Bishop Eaton’s Leadership Initiative that supports future rostered leaders in their theological education in order to answer God’s call to ministry. In August 2019, she will begin her theological studies as a Master of Divinity student enrolled at Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH. She loves eating popcorn, reading, annoying her younger brother, and singing to South African music.
Virginia Synod Sermons
Sermons are available one month prior to the Sunday service they are to be shared during. View all the sermons shared   on the Virginia Synod website.
