Weekly Update - January 12, 2018
Dear Parents,
This past week we had our monthly SAC and Home & School board meetings. I just want to take a moment to thank the parents who serve on these boards!! They all have many commitments beyond serving on a board (jobs, kids, etc.) but they give their time to help improve our school.

We discussed at the Home and School meeting the ongoing frustration that we have in getting volunteers to actually chair and work on our events. It seems like it's the same people all the time. Most organizations say that 20% of the people do 100% of the work and that seems about right for SRCS. I would just like to think that we could step up and be better!

Our auction is 8 weeks away and there is a lot of work to be done. Last year this event raised over $60,000 for the school, that's 2/3 of the amount that Home and School is asked to provide for the school budget. Between the auction, festival, Run for the Royals, and golf tournament last year the Home and School gave the school $30,000 for extra projects. We can only have that type of success when everyone pitches in and helps.

Below you will find links to some of the upcoming events. Please scroll through the opportunities and find a place to help!

Blessings for a nice cool three day weekend!
