Dakota County Seeks Input on Trash and Recycling Policies

Dakota County is requesting feedback from commercial organizations on waste and recycling policies under consideration. The County’s 2018-2038 Master Plan identifies strategies the County will pursue to reduce waste going to landfills and make progress toward the state's goal to recycle 75 percent of waste by 2030.

Check out the County’s project website  for more information about the proposed changes and project schedule. It is County staff’s goal to gather feedback on proposed requirements while they are still in draft form so that reasonable Ordinance 110 conditions and associated timing are developed. Feedback is requested by October 4, 2019.
