A Note From the H esed Circle
Volunteers Needed: Learn to Lead a Shiva Minyan
Our caring community needs volunteers who are able to lead a shiva minyan at a congregant's home when our clergy is not available. H azzan Shoshi Levin Goldberg has offered to teach congregants to lead ma'ariv for a shiva minyan. We will try to schedule this short training to accommodate everybody's busy schedules. There is currently a small list of available leaders and we would like to expand the pool of qualified people. Please email shivasupport@templeisraelcenter.org for more information.

The READ BETTER program, a collaboration between Westchester Library System and Hadassah Westchester, continues to look for volunteers willing to spend 90 minutes a week helping an adult in our community learn to read or to read better. You will receive training, curriculum and material geared to your student's needs.
