Under his leadership, the church significantly expanded its outreach to Latino and bicultural Episcopalians, including through the biennial Nuevo Amanecer gathering for those involved in Latino ministries; the New Camino seminar for clergy, diocesan staff, and lay leaders; and the Episcopal Latino Ministry Competency Course, which has trained over 600 lay and ordained leaders to build and support Latino ministry in their own contexts.

You Matter @ St. John’s Cathedral: Every Member Counts invites you to the upcoming Bake Sale this Sunday immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service during Coffee Hour. This is a great opportunity to gather with friends, meet new parishioners, and share in the fellowship that makes St. John’s such a special place. Whether you stop by for a cookie, a cupcake, or simply good conversation, your participation helps strengthen the bonds that unite us. All proceeds from the bake sale will support St. John’s fellowship and community programs, helping us continue to nurture connection, hospitality, and service throughout our cathedral family. You're invited and expected! Thank you for your generous support.

During the calls, hosts will share resources and ideas to help congregations promote voting and civic participation while remaining nonpartisan (avoiding support for specific political parties, candidates, or platforms).

The first call, on June 4, will feature Kent Anker, chief legal officer of The Episcopal Church, speaking about compliance with IRS rules regarding election engagement by religious organizations.
