Fall Member Meeting

2022 Jeff Jensen Memorial Construction Safety Excellence Award Recipients Announced
Join us on October 13 at the annual Recognition Evening to honor individuals and companies who have promoted excellence in the Minnesota construction industry!
The Jeff Jensen Memorial Construction Safety Excellence Award began in 2003 as a tribute to Jeff Jensen, former owner of J.R. Jensen Construction Company (Superior, WI), and a strong advocate for field safety training, having served on the Duluth Safety Day committee for several years. The award is determined by the number of hours invested annually on safety training for each craft, supervisor/manager and subcontractor employee, as well as the company’s experience modification rate, total recordable incident rate, number of lost workday cases, and number of medical only cases.

2021 AGC Construction Industry Assessment Survey Now Open

The 2022 AGC of Minnesota Construction Industry Assessment Survey provides an opportunity for you to provide your observations and experiences in the Minnesota construction marketplace. This year's survey includes many new questions, and your input is vital. The survey link was sent to our primary contact(s) at all AGC member firms.

AGC Legislative Committee
The AGC legislative Committee will meet this Fall to review and develop the legislative agenda for the 2023 Legislative Session. AGC’s platform represents the united voice of the construction industry for building and transportation contractors. Mark your calendars for October 19 and November 17. Day at the Capitol: April 12, 2023
Even though we don’t know the election results, we know the Minnesota construction industry will need to be a strong, united voice next legislative session. Legislators will set the state’s budget, consider regulations, and discuss unfinished business – such as federal infrastructure matching funds and a capital investment bill- from last session. Hear from key decision makers and get an update from AGC of MN’s Government Affairs staff at the beautiful State Capitol on Wednesday, April 12.

Meisinger Construction Celebrates 50 Years of AGC Membership

Transportation Regional Candidate Forums: September 15 - October 20
Minnesota's transportation system continues to be underfunded and we will need increased state matching funds to compete for federal dollars under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). In addition, the legislature did not pass a capital bonding bill during the 2022 Session while leaving a surplus of over $9 billion on the table.
