Birdies for Charity

Time is running out to send in your Birdies for Charity pledges!

Make a pledge on the Birdies for Charity pledge forms that have been mailed to you and return them to the Center office. Any pledge from our members can count towards your Dues & or High Holiday Honors. Congregation Beth Israel receives 100% of the

donations, plus a guaranteed additional 5% bonus. For additional pledge forms, stop by the office. Please let the Center office know if you are participating.

Congregation Beth Israel is delighted to extend warm wishes for happy and healthy birthdays to David Weiner on June 29th and Sylvia Roba on July 8th. David will be celebrating his 90th birthday, and Sylvia her 80th.


In honor of these special occasions, we are currently collecting donations for

group leaves on the Tree of Life in their names.

Chai Impact

LOOKING FOR A MITZVAH?

Join Beit Shalom in making a Chai Impact for Argrow’s House, a Davenport organization assisting women who have been victims of violence. Please consider donating paper goods including bathroom, kitchen, and feminine hygiene items to the synagogue and leave them in the labeled bin in the coatroom.


In addition, you can help by stopping for a cup of coffee and a sandwich at Argrow’s Café at 3811 Harrison in Davenport. While there, you can shop at their gift shop for products made by women who are moving forward in their journey to reshape their lives after surviving violence. The café is open Wednesday to Saturday from 9 to 2. The organization also has a gift shop at 2313-44th Street in Moline which is open from 10 to 2 on Thursdays.
