Thinking About the Ends of Classical Education
Have you ever wondered just what the word, "Classical" means in the name of our school? Here's a hint: What is the ultimate end of classical education? Happiness! LLCA Using Layered Mitigation Strategies to Keep Students & Staff Safe from COVID
Mask Requirements: Masks are required indoors at all times including the gym and on school busses. All visitors must wear a mask upon entering the school. If you do not have one, a disposable one will be provided.
Quarantine Procedures: Household exposure, meaning someone in the home is positive. The student must quarantine for 14 days. Monitor for signs and symptoms of Covid and test if necessary. You may not “test out” of quarantine.
Community Exposure: Exposed outside the home. The student must quarantine for 10 days. Monitor for signs and symptoms of Covid and test if necessary. You may not “test out” of quarantine.
Student Positive: Quarantine for 10 days. No need to re-test. May return to school when fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
Current Number of Positive Cases in K-12- 11
Current Number of students out on Quarantine- 30
Rutherford County remains in the Red Zone for the Corona Virus, Delta Variant. This variant is highly transmissible and is affecting children far more than the original variant. Students out on quarantine are exposed outside of school, inside of the home, and in various activities. Students are also out of school for reasons other than Covid.
LLCA continues to follow the 3 W’s -Wear a mask, Wash your hands, Watch your distance.
