Love University: Now We Lead

Dear St. Luke’s Family,

All year long at Love University, we have been moving somewhere on purpose. We began by learning God’s story, by opening scripture, asking questions, and remembering who we are. We practiced living God’s story in community, with serving, studying, and building friendships that shape us. We centered ourselves by loving God’s story in worship, through prayer, generosity, proclamation, and praise. And now we arrive at the final movement: Lead your life with God’s story.

This has always been the goal. This is the goal of a student of Jesus, which is what the word disciple means.

We learn, live, and love so that we can lead... lead our everyday decisions, our relationships, our work, our civic engagement, and our presence in the public square through the lens of Christ. We are becoming people who reveal God’s kingdom of justice, love, kindness, and equity wherever our feet land.

Since last fall, we have also been naming ourselves as Change Makers: St. Lukers who use our faith, our resources, our time, and our passion to make a difference on behalf of our neighbors and community. Being a change maker isn’t about volume or visibility. It’s about alignment and letting God’s story shape our response to the needs around us.

This week, we invite you...

Reminder: The church campus will be closed on Monday, February 16 in observance of President's Day. We will re-open for normal business hours on Tuesday, February 17 at 9:00 a.m.

Share your Estimate of Giving for 2026 with St. Luke's online, or print/complete a pledge card and bring to the church by February 15. Thank you in advance for helping us be good stewards of St. Luke’s operating expenses. Please click here for more information.

St. Luke's In Review

A Weekend Filled with Motown Magic

This past weekend, Theater at St. Luke's came alive as hundreds of audience members filled the house for Men of Motown, singing along to every lyric and dancing in the aisles! The energy in the room was electric, a true reminder of the timeless power of these songs to bring people together.

It was a joyful and meaningful way to celebrate Black History Month, honoring the extraordinary Black artists whose creativity and excellence shaped American music and culture. Thank you to everyone who showed up, lifted their voices, and made it a weekend to remember.

A Joyful Morning of Worship

We celebrated God’s grace at work in our lives on Sunday by reaffirming our baptisms and welcoming 16 new Partners (members) into the St. Luke’s family. We're so blessed by this intergenerational faith community and the ways we see God moving among us.

Partnership Sunday is a sacred reminder that faith is not meant to be lived alone. As these new Partners made their vows, we witnessed a beautiful commitment, not just to St. Luke’s, but to a life of following Jesus together.

Did you miss this cycle of Discover/Partnership? Save the date, our next round of classes are on April 26 (Discover) and May 3 (Partnership) - registration is open now at st.lukes.org/jointhechurch!

As we prepare to celebrate Pastor Jenn’s incredible legacy at St. Luke’s, we’re inviting you to help us create a meaningful farewell gift for her. Jenn has helped write so many chapters of our story – now it’s our turn to write one for her.

We’re collecting notes, memories, and messages of gratitude from the congregation and will compile them into a bound book for Jenn to take with her on her new adventure to the conference.

You’re welcome to email your message to ThanksJenn@st.lukes.org or drop off/mail a handwritten note at the church office (Attn: Rachel Romoser).

Please send your message by March 8.

As we move forward with our approved 2026 Operating Budget, several staffing updates will take place this month with the support of the Staff Parish Relations Committee. Please click HERE for the update.
