Finding Community in God's Family

Watch the video message below from Pastor Corey as he visits the HADESTOWN: Teen Edition set, and reflects on how the show's themes connect with St. Luke's core value of community. Drawing from Matthew 9, he reminds us that Jesus calls people into community so they can support, care for, and serve on another. Pastor Corey encourages everyone to join in worship this Sunday and celebrate the gift of belonging at St. Luke's.

Please note: The church office will be closed on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Summer camps and VBS will remain in session and continue with their regular schedules, and the office will re-open on Monday, June 22 at 9:00 a.m.

St. Luke's in Review

Showing Love in Tangible Ways

Thank you to the 20 volunteers who joined us last Saturday for St. Luke’s Build Day in East Winter Garden with West Orange Habitat for Humanity, where six homes are currently being built. From putting up siding to adding finishing touches, everyone served with love to help turn these nearly complete houses into homes for local families.

You’re invited to join us for our next St. Luke’s Build Day on September 19 - learn more and sign up at st.lukes.org/habitat.

If you’re looking to get involved sooner, West Orange Habitat is also seeking volunteers to mentor new homeowners, along with additional build days throughout the summer on weekdays and weekends. For more information, contact serve@st.lukes.org.

Planting Hope Where Policy Is Made

This week, Saniye Kazan, Bonita Thomas, and Chris Card represented St. Luke’s in Washington, D.C., at Bread for the World’s 2026 Advocacy Summit.

They joined advocates from across the country to learn, connect, and meet with policymakers on behalf of those experiencing hunger and food insecurity. Under the theme "Planting Hope, Feeding Futures," they helped raise awareness and advocate for policies that support families and communities both locally and globally.

Thank you to this team for extending St. Luke’s mission of compassion and justice beyond our walls and into the world!
