Sunday, April 22nd
Fr. Christopher Golding will be our guest preacher at both Masses, and will lead an Adult Forum after the 10am Mass.
Since the liturgical renewal movements of the 1960s and 1970s, the Eucharist has once again taken the central place in The Episcopal Church. However, the relationship between the Eucharist and the Healing Ministry is often neglected or unexamined. This presentation will explore some of the theological connections between these sacramental ministries, allowing participants to consider, in a new way, how the Holy Eucharist is indeed food and fuel for the Healing Ministry.
The Reverend Christopher Golding is Vicar of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Kailua, Hawaii. He has served in parish church and school chaplaincy positions in rural and urban contexts in Australia and the United States since 2011. A member of the Order of St. Luke from 2012 and State Chaplain in Hawaii from 2017, Christopher hopes to see a renewed interest in sacramental healing ministry within churches and in other ministry contexts. Christopher is married to Julia and has two children: Phoebe (6) and James (5).
