Crystal Lake Food Pantry Information

Paper Please. . . Donations of paper goods are greatly needed at the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. The pantry is not able to buy paper goods through the food bank, and clients are not able to use their SNAP benefits to purchase any paper goods such as toilet paperKleenexpaper towels, and napkins. Bring them to the church any time, and your Board members will get them over to the pantry. Paper goods are items that are lightweight, easy to carry and low cost that can be donated and will be appreciated by the clients. Thanks!!

Bishop-Elect Paula Clark 2.jpg

Bishop-Elect Paula Clark Consecration Date

A day the Diocese of Chicago has long awaited has now been set. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry has set September 17 as the day he will ordain and consecrate the Rev. Paula E. Clark as the Thirteenth Bishop of Chicago. The service will take place at the Westin Hotel in Lombard, Illinois. Bishop Curry will serve as the chief consecrator in the liturgy.

The venue is familiar to many in the diocese, as it is where our annual convention was held for more than a decade, prior to the pandemic. Holding the service at the Westin will allow more people to attend than if the service was held in any of the diocese’s church buildings. More details will be forthcoming as we get closer to September.

Summer Schedule Begins June 5

Beginning Sunday, June 5, and continuing through September 4, there will be ONE Sunday service offered at 9:00 a.m., using the Rite 2 liturgy.  This is a great opportunity to get to know parishioners who attend the "other service".

Forward Day by Day

Forward Day by Day, the Episcopal devotional guide to Bible reading, for the months of May, June, and July, is now available on a Narthex table, priced as marked. Please pick up a copy today.
